Students across the Ancora Education network of campuses will have access to real-time mental health services through META, a revolutionary teletherapy app.

HURST, Texas — Ancora Education, a national, private, post-secondary network of vocational education campuses located in Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and online today announced their partnership with META, a teletherapy company powering a mobile application designed to help college students connect to mental wellness providers.

The META app includes a network of in-state licensed mental health professionals such as counselors, therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists. Students download the app, choose a provider, and receive counseling through the privacy and convenience of their smart phones via chat, video or voice calls.

META sponsorship includes a robust implementation plan that leverages best practices to drive student engagement to the META app. META works closely with Ancora faculty, staff, and key stakeholders to train them on META’s capability to identify and address mental health issues. Staff are then able to show students how to take full advantage of the app and find a provider by leveraging features such as advanced filters and intro videos.

META will also deliver multiple digital and printed marketing campaigns to raise awareness to behavioral health resources for Ancora students. These campaigns continue throughout the year and are amplified during times of high stress, such as enrollment, midterms and finals. These campaigns, delivered through in-app META BUZZ articles, social media and physical collateral, include anti-stigma messaging and the multiple benefits of using teletherapy. Students are reminded through these messages that they’re not alone in their struggles at school, and META delivers the help that they need with the privacy they want.
